Parish Event Calendar
At Advent, we value the chance to gather and connect. Some of our regular opportunities for connection and discipleship include:
-
A spiritual haven for individuals 18-28. Join us for art, games, snacks, thoughtful discussion, and Evening Prayer from the BCP.
-
Led by parishioners, these Sunday morning seminars seek to encourage the people of Advent as we share this pilgrimage called “The Christian Life.”
-
A time to gather for conversation on Sunday mornings. Each session includes a brief group discussion, followed by smaller table conversations where we can connect and support one another, all while enjoying a warm cup of coffee.
-
Featuring silent time for personal prayer, scripture passages, and traditional prayers for the evening, Compline is offered as a space to breathe and encounter the Lord midway through the week. This contemplative service also employs candles, incense, and Taizé music.
-
all are welcome to our community gaming guild! We offer a wide variety of board games, card games, RPGs, and MTG tournaments. Come for high adventure and bring a snack to share.
-
A midweek service that combines the morning prayer liturgy with listening prayer and Lectio Divina. Typically attended by 10-15 people seated in a circle, this is a time of strong connection—both to God and each other.
-
Students in 6th-12th grade are invited to join us on Sunday mornings in the Youth Room for a time to connect over treats, games, and thoughtful discussion.
If you have further questions about ways to get involved at Advent, reach out to Robin Lemke, our Director of Care and Connection.

Bagel Adventure - Student Ministry
This Sunday, we will not have a typical Student Meeting. Instead, we will meet upstairs in the Narthex and will walk as a group to the Woodinville Bagel Bakery. We will cover one bagel/pastry for each student, but they are welcome to bring money of their own to buy additional treats or drinks. We will leave promptly at 10 and will be back by 10:45am. Signed waivers are required, so please email Pastor Ben at ben@advent.church if you have any questions.

Conversations with Clergy
You won't want to miss this opportunity to get to know some of Advent's clergy! Come to First Half on February 19 at 10:00 a.m.! You'll grab a seat and our clergy members will rotate tables so that you get a chance to ask each of them some of your questions.

We foresee students serving in meaningful ways in this ministry in the future and are eager to take the opportunity to learn more and consider how we can come alongside the work being done. This will take the place of the typical student meeting.

Q&A with Bridge Disability Ministries
Bridge Disability Ministries is a local organization that is dedicated to providing care and ending isolation for those who are differently-abled in our community. Advent has been a Beacon Church with Bridge for many years and strives to be a welcoming and inclusive space for all. Join us on February 27 to hear more about Bridge, what it means to be a Beacon Church, and upcoming volunteer opportunities. We will also have a Q&A time with the Spiritual connections staff. CLICK HERE to post your questions beforehand.

Q&A with Fr. Aaron
Whether you have recently started attending Advent or are a regular at our parish, we invite you to come to a casual Q&A with Fr. Aaron on Sunday, February 20 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. You can submit questions HERE, or bring your questions on Sunday! We are thankful to have this opportunity to connect as a parish and with our rector.
