AI, Faith, and Flourishing

This talk challenges the knee-jerk technological determinism that often drives our discussions of innovations like AI, arguing that, especially as Christians, we must return human agency to the equation. Only then may we turn to a biblical view of human flourishing as our framework for if and when to develop and adopt AI with purpose. With this framework established, we discuss some of foundational aspects of generative AI and its training methods, asking what role the church may play in this season of change.
